Once again it has been a long time since I blogged anything here. Am really going to try to better promoting my work and myself as an artist.
Here are a series of pics that show a brand new pastel in the process of being painted.
The initial set up, a 1953 Structo Concrete Truck
Developing the background first, then moving on to the drum of the truck
Starting work on the cab, such a great emerald green color
Continuing to develop the cab, working from upper left to lower right
The finished piece (I think), added the cement blocks under the shelf, not too sure if they will stay or not.
Absolutely love this Dave. What fun. What talent!
ReplyDeleteIs this on Ampersand board? Sorry I missed your talk last week. We were still shoveling out.
ReplyDeleteJen,
DeleteYes this is on the Ampersand board. By far, my favorite and most comfortable surface to work on
I would not have believed this "pastel painting" if I had not seen this progression ... It is stunning, well done!!!
ReplyDeleteinteresting progression, im shocked that you work in one area at a time, and dont find that hard to have the colors relate to each other, and if necessary change as you see this happening...
